Forelock

Forelock, pseudonimo di Alfredo Puglia, è un cantante reggae italiano nato a Sassari nel 1987. Cresciuto in una famiglia di musicisti, sviluppa fin da piccolo una forte passione per la musica, studiando pianoforte, canto lirico, musica elettronica e percussioni africane. Nel 2008 diventa la voce degli Arawak, band che lo porta a emergere come uno degli artisti più promettenti del reggae italiano. Nel 2013 inizia a collaborare stabilmente con Paolo Baldini nel progetto DubFiles, affermandosi a livello internazionale.

Nel 2015 pubblica “Zero” con gli Arawak e nel 2018 “To The Foundation”, tributo a Dennis Brown, che consolida il suo stile tra roots reggae e sonorità moderne. Ha condiviso il palco con artisti di fama mondiale come Alborosie, Agent Sasco e Mellow Mood, e si è esibito in tutta Europa, in America Latina e India. Nel 2023 esce l’EP “Follow Me”, sperimentando nuove influenze urban e confermando la propria versatilità stilistica. Nel 2025 torna con il singolo “Missy”: Forelock continua a essere una delle voci più distintive della scena reggae italiana.

Forelock, the stage name of Alfredo Puglia, is an Italian reggae singer born in Sassari in 1987. Raised in a family of musicians, he developed a strong passion for music from an early age, studying piano, opera singing, electronic music, and African percussion. In 2008, he became the lead singer of Arawak, a band that quickly brought him to the forefront as one of the most promising artists in the Italian reggae scene.

In 2013, he began a long-standing collaboration with Paolo Baldini in the DubFiles project, gaining international recognition.

He released Zero with Arawak in 2015 and To The Foundation in 2018, a tribute to Dennis Brown that cemented his signature blend of roots reggae and modern sounds. Over the years, he has shared the stage with globally renowned artists such as Alborosie, Agent Sasco, and Mellow Mood, performing across Europe, Latin America, and India.

In 2023, he released the Follow Me EP, exploring new urban influences and reaffirming his stylistic versatility. In 2025, Forelock returns with the single “Missy”, continuing to stand out as one of the most distinctive voices in Italian reggae.
