The Sleeping Tree

Giulio Frausin aka The Sleeping Tree nasce a Pordenone nel 1986.

Al basso con i Mellow Mood dal 2005, è tra i curatori de La Tempesta Dub, braccio in levare dell’omonima più famosa etichetta indipendente italiana.

Lontano dalle atmosfere caraibiche a cui è più frequentemente associato, ha pubblicato a nome The Sleeping Tree diversi lavori, l’ultimo dei quali (“Painless”) è un album uscito nel 2013 per La Tempesta International.

Dopo una pausa durata otto anni, in cui si è dedicato principalmente ad impegni concertistici e discografici, nel 2021 si è messo al lavoro con il produttore Paolo Baldini per registrare un disco, intitolato “Timeline”, in uscita a marzo 2022, anticipato dai singoli “Suite: Wounded Love / Lilies” e “Our Somber Song”.

Giulio Frausin was born in Pordenone, Italy, in 1986.

On the bass with Mellow Mood since 2005, he is one of the curators of La Tempesta Dub, reggae/dub branch of independent label La Tempesta Dischi.

Far from Caribbean atmospheres, he self-released songs under the moniker The Sleeping Tree until his proper debut (“Painless”) in 2013. After a long hiatus and in the midst of the recent global lockdown, Frausin teamed up with producer Paolo Baldini (La Tempesta Dub, Pressure Sounds) for the recording of “Timeline”, a new album containing folk songs he wrote over the past decade.

“Suite: Wounded Love / Lilies” is the first single off the new record, “Our Somber Song” is the second one.
